The company develops HMI (Human Machine Interface) solutions enhancing flight simulator training for certified Commercial Aviation simulators of the Approved Training Organizations (ATO) under the modern EASA training standards.Via a set of algorithms and through an eye tracking device the system performs the preliminary analysis of the gaze data (fixations and dwells) and present more accurate performance feedback to the instructor during simulator training.
The training systen makes availabe both real time and post flight data aiming at Level 1 Situational Awareness (SA) estimation and root cause identification associated with pilot low performance. Estimation methodologies to identify distraction and human error, are coupled with other typical pilot gaze data like dwell durations, sequences and patterns, to enhance the accuracy and optimize the utilization of simulation training.
The system has been initially developed by Spacetime Aero experts in the Hellenic Air Force and demonstrated on an F-16 simulator environment.
